I love being able to help others! Teeth are a vital part of our lives. They affect everything from first impressions to what you are able to eat for dinner. I really enjoy working with patients to understand what their goals are for their oral health and developing a plan to help them achieve those goals — whether it is relieving a toothache, helping them smile a little brighter with aesthetic enhancements, or giving them a clean bill of dental health at their checkup.
Education
I realized that dentistry was the perfect fit for me because it allows the unique opportunity to develop relationships with patients over their lifetime, allows me to work with my hands, and presents ample opportunities to advance my knowledge and training.
- Bachelor of Science in business administration – University of Nebraska Kearney
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry
- Advanced education in general dentistry residency – University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
I love that dentistry gives me the chance to be a lifelong learner. I feel it is my responsibility to keep up with advancements in technology and dental materials as well as current philosophies on treatment planning and restorative options. By continuing to expand my knowledge base, I am able to provide the most up-to-date, conservative treatment options.
I am currently working through the Spear Education curriculum, having completed workshops on treatment planning, occlusion, and restorative design for crowns. I have also completed an aesthetic composite workshop and Invisalign® training, all of which helps to ensure my patients are receiving the best treatment options that will serve them well for many years to come.
Outside the Office
I love spending time with family and am grateful to be back in Kearney to spend more quality time with my nieces and nephew. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy traveling, hiking, camping, fishing, boating, and chasing my two dogs Chip and Charlie around on the trails in the area.
